We all make excuses.
Excuses for why we don’t work out. For why we’re late. For why we don’t want to do something. For so many things.
Well, enough is enough. Let’s stop making excuses for ourselves. Let’s stop procrastinating and get things done. Let’s be on time and not make excuses for why we were late. Let’s finally do those things we’ve been wanting to do and stop justifying that it’s ok we wait a moment longer.
The reality is…you’re going to get to a point in your life where you’ll have a real excuse: you can’t do it anymore. Then what? Regret.
So, while you have all the time in the world…no more excuses. Play like a champion.
Be accountable for your actions and your responsibilities.
Accountability goes so far; professionally and personally. People like accountable people. If you say you’re going to show up, show up. If you say you’re going to do something, do it. That’s all there is to it.
Don’t let things happen to you…make them happen.
Stop being lazy.
It happens to the best of us, but there are those moments or days where we just want to be lazy. Think of how accomplished you feel when you get things done that you’ve been meaning to. Remember how great that feels. Now, stop making excuses and get your butt off the couch.
Set goals and priorities.
We all have a lot going on and, when you look at all the individual things on your plate, it can be overwhelming. Instead, take a step back and look at the big picture. Prioritize what’s important and set short- and long-term goals for accomplishing what you want to get done.
