It’s been a busy couple of weeks. Business has been good and I’ve had a lot of social activities planned that have been taking up entire weekends where I’m used to having some time to work.
I always say that being busy is a good problem. (People tend to get lazy when they’re not busy enough.)
However, being too busy means that you start sacrificing things. For most of us, eating well and exercising goes first and we start losing the balance of good mental and physical health.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. Here’s what to remember when it seems like you’re literally too busy to work out.
You can make time at home.
Working out doesn’t need to be this big, colossal show of getting ready, driving to your gym, working out, and then driving home again. I’ve done that dance and, by the time it’s all said and done, you’ve just spent two hours to do you work out – and that doesn’t even include the time it takes to shower and get dressed again.
While there is certainly a place and time for those kinds of workouts, why not make time at home for a 20-minute workout? 20 minutes, that’s all you need. Hell, I’ve even done 10-minute workouts and felt like I got something from it.

And actually…you can make time anywhere.
Not only can you work out at home, but you can also work out if you travel often.
There are plenty of workouts you can do while travel for work or play. (And since exercise can help you stay healthy while you travel, it’s that much more important.) Or, for those of us who work from home, there are even ways to get around that.
You’re making time to do something amazing.
Promising yourself to be more healthy by making time to exercise or work out will create positive change on your entire life.
You’ll be more healthy for yourself, which means you’ll have more energy to do the things you already do – and want to do – in your life, you’ll be happier, you’ll feel better, you’ll get sick and feel achy less; the list truly goes on and on.
Not only will working out help you, but it will help those around you. Being healthy with your family or with your partner can make a world of difference in creating a more healthy lifestyle, along with all those benefits listed above. Plus, with a family, why not work out together? You get quality family time and get exercise all at the same time!
Exercise should be an important and valuable part of your daily life. Make time for it and remember that it’s ok to get some time in at home and that you’re doing something truly amazing for yourself and your loved ones around you.
